In the beginning there was only Chaos. Out of that emptiness came Gaia, the Earth, and Uranus, the starry Sky, and with them the first children of the universe. This is how the ancient Greeks told the story of how everything began.

Prometheus, the Titan who thought before he acted, shaped the first humans and loved them like children. So they would not live in cold and darkness, he defied Zeus himself — and paid a terrible price for his compassion.

Cronus feared an old curse: one day a son would take his throne. To stop it, he did something terrible — but Rhea hid little Zeus away, and from him came the greatest war the cosmos has ever seen.
