While still very young, Benedict left Rome to seek God in the silence of the mountains. He lived three years in a cave and would become the father of Western monks. This is the first part of the story of Saint Benedict of Nursia.

On a mountaintop, Benedict built the monastery of Monte Cassino and wrote the Rule that taught the West to pray and work. In this second part, we follow the miracles, the meeting with Saint Scholastica, and the holy death of Saint Benedict.
