Philip walked away from a rich uncle's inheritance to follow God's call to Rome. With humor, music and a great deal of joy, he won over the young people of the streets and became known as the Apostle of Rome.

God worked wonders through Philip: ecstasies at Mass, the gift of reading hearts, unexpected healings. And Philip, always humble and playful, founded the Congregation of the Oratory and died as he had lived, in peace and joy.
