Fernando was born in a palace in Lisbon, but left everything behind to serve God. He became Friar Anthony, the preacher so wonderful that even the fish came to listen. This is the first part of the story of Saint Anthony.

In the year 1917, in a poor village in Portugal, three shepherd children saw a Lady dressed in white, brighter than the sun. She carried a request for the whole world. This is how the apparitions of Fatima began.

On October 13, 1917, seventy thousand people gathered at the Cova da Iria, in the pouring rain, to see whether the three children's promise was true. What happened in the sky that day became known as the Miracle of the Sun.
